Maha: DyCM warns Deshmukh
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday gave a stern warning to former state Home minister and NCP (SP) leader Anil Deshmukh that he will make audio-video clips of Deshmukh public
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday gave a stern warning to former state Home minister and NCP (SP) leader Anil Deshmukh that he will make audio-video clips of Deshmukh public.
He issued this warning in a press conference after All India Superstition Eradication Committee president Shyam Manav and Deshmukh levelled serious allegations against Fadnavis recently.
Speaking on this, he said that Manav has known him for many years, so he should have spoken to him before making any allegations against him.
"Unfortunately, Shyam Manav seems to have taken the lead," he remarked.
Fadnavis, who also holds Home portfolio, further said that when Anil Deshmukh was being investigated in corruption scams, he was interrogated in front of the Bombay High Court and the High Court ordered to register an FIR (first information report) against Deshmukh, he said.
Giving a warning to Deshmukh, he further said, "I do not do politics just because I am angry with someone. I do not go to anyone's place, but if someone comes to my place, I do not spare him."
Revealing further, Fadnavis said that some people from Deshmukh's party gave him audio-video clips containing Deshmukh's utterances against Shiv Sena (UBT) president and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, on what he said about dismissed police officer Sachin Vaze.
"I have everything, and I will make this audio-video clip public," he said.
Accusing Deshmukh of doing illegal work when he was the Home minister in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, Fadnavis said, "The CBI has clearly stated in the chargesheet that the then Home minister Anil Deshmukh had put pressure on the superintendent of police of Jalgaon to frame charges against BJP leader Girish Mahajan.
I had submitted the audio-video clip as evidence in this regard and a complaint was filed with the CBI in this case, he added.
