Modi to take oath as PM on Sunday

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary leader Narendra Modi will be sworn in as Prime Minister on Sunday evening at 7:15 PM.

The President's Secretariat announced on Friday that President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office to Modi in a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Alongside Modi, some members of his Council of Ministers will also be sworn in.

Earlier, when Modi visited Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet Murmu, the President nominated him for the position of Prime Minister and invited him to take the oath of office.

It is noteworthy that the NDA has chosen Modi as the leader of the parliamentary party of the alliance. 

The NDA has won 293 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, securing a majority for the third consecutive time.
