AP CM lays foundation stone for National Law University

Kurnool, Mar 14   Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Rs.1011 crore National Law University at Jagannatha Gattu on Thursday.
The Chief Minister unveiled the pylon and launched the works of the University being built on an extent of 150 acres in Kalluru Mandal.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled the government’s promise of establishing a High Court at Kurnool and said that along with the High Court, SHRC (State Human Rights Commission) and Lok Ayukta would also be set up in Kurnool district as per its commitment to decentralised development.
The Chief Minister further said that the AP Legal Metrological Commission, Labour Commission, VAT Appellate Commission, Wakf Board, and other institutions dealing with legal matters would also be established here, and they would help the region achieve justice.
Pointing out that it was proposed to set up a Court in Kurnool district as per the Sribagh Pact at the time of shifting capital to Hyderabad, and steps are being taken in accordance with the Pact.
