Attention Required, On Very Serious Issue, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Filed Police Complaint against ASMA Institute of Magement and Pune Institute of Business Studies

ABVP vigorously protested against ASMA organization

The fee regulation committee of ASMA Institute of Management, a college run under Pandit Shivdatta Shastri Education Foundation, has set a fee of Rs 65,000 and this college is charging students Rs 4,50,000 lakh for two years. The said course is not actually taught in this college even after charging extra fee. The college has appointed a tertiary institution for this course. The lectures of this course are held at Hinjewadi. There has been a trend of cheating students by offering internships and jobs. In this case, on Wednesday, ABVP staged a strong protest in the vicinity of ASMA College.

MBA  Agri Business Management is a 2 year course and the said college is deceiving the students by claiming to complete the course in one year and provide Paid Internship in the second year. Every student is forced to take an education loan from the same bank as the college tells them so that the students don't drop out of the college and the tuition fees of all the students are collected by the college. This type is very serious. Students have been forced by the institution to sign an agreement on bond paper in an unauthorized manner and the college has given a strict warning to the students that it will be mandatory for each student to make two admissions in the institution and compliance with this agreement will be mandatory for getting internship. The college has also threatened students who violate the agreement or refuse to sign the agreement to fail the subjects. The college has deliberately failed 80% of the students in the internal examination. When the students demanded re-evaluation, the students were given mixed answers. In this case, after ABVP protested, the protest was temporarily suspended after the institution gave a written assurance that the college would fulfill all the demands of the students in the next 7 days.

The demands are as follows -
1) The college should immediately refund the extra fees charged to all the students.
2) It should be ensured that the examination of the students who have deliberately failed will be conducted in a transparent manner in the next semester.
3) The documents of the students who want to leave the college and take admission elsewhere next year should not be withheld.
4) Institution should take legal action against Arindam Ghosh for mental and physical torture.
5) The college should create a structure so that students will not be cheated anymore.

Sexual Harassment of female students in PIBS, a tertiary institution prescribed by the college

The tertiary institution determined by the said college i.e. PIBS (Pune Institute Of Business Studies) Meanwhile, the incident of Prof. Arindam Ghosh sexually harassing a female student came to light. The said professor used to embarrass the students by talking in Aravacha language in class.
At the same time, an attempt was made to get close to them. A case has also been registered in the Hinjewadi police station after a strong agitation by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in this case.

In this regard, All India Student Council has complained to UGC, DTE, AICTE and Savitribai Phule Pune University Pro Vice Chancellor Parag Kalkar about the chaotic management of this college. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is demanding that the university should immediately cancel the affiliation of the said college. Also, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has also demanded that action should be taken against all the colleges which are bogus and whose names are only on paper.

ABVP's complaint to the Police Commissioner

ASMA Institute of Management and Pune Institute of Business Science (PIBS) who are guilty in the case. ABVP demanded that a criminal case should be filed against Prof. Ganesh Tannu and Prof. Arindam Ghosh and the matter should be followed up by Police Commissioner Shri. Amitesh Kumar.
