BJP announces names of 24 LS candidates for MP

The Bharatiya Janata Party late Saturday announced the names of candidates vis-à-vis 24 of 29 parliamentary constituencies of Madhya Pradesh and they include four ladies.

Bhopal, Mar 2  The Bharatiya Janata Party late Saturday announced the names of candidates vis-à-vis 24 of 29 parliamentary constituencies of Madhya Pradesh and they include four ladies.
Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been fielded from Vidisha, which he represented even earlier but is presently a legislator from Budhni. State unit President Vishnu Datt Sharma will try his fortune again from Khajuraho. Interestingly, Chouhan’s supporter and former Mayor Alok Sharma is in the fray from Bhopal where Pragya Singh Thakur lost her ticket. Chouhan’s other supporter Darshan Singh Choudhary is contesting from Hoshangabad.
Shivmangal Singh Tomar is the nominee from Morena, Sandhya Rai (Bhind-SC), Bharat Singh Kushwah (Gwalior), Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia (Guna), Lata Wankhede (Sagar), Virendra Khatik (Tikamgarh-SC), Rahul Lodhi (Damoh), Ganesh Singh (Satna), Janardan Mishra (Rewa), Rajesh Mishra (Sidhi), Himadri Singh (Shahdol-ST), Ashish Dubey (Jabalpur), Faggan Singh Kulaste (Mandla-ST), Rodmal Nagar (Rajgarh), Mahendra Singh Solanki (Dewas-SC), Sudhir Gupta (Mandsaur), Anita Nagar Singh Chouhan (Ratlam-ST), Gajendra Patel (Khargone-ST), Gyaneshwar Patil (Khandwa) and Durgadas Uikey (Betul-ST).
The names for Chhindwara, Balaghat, Ujjain-SC, Dhar-ST and Indore have not been declared. In 2019, the saffron camp emerged victorious in all 29 segments barring Chhindwara. KP Singh Yadav has not been given the Guna ticket.
