BJP will contest alone in all Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Odisha- Samal

Bhubaneswar, Mar 22  Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal on Friday finally put an end to fortnight-long political speculation of an electoral alliance between the BJP and the BJD in Odisha by stating that the party will go it alone in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.
The statement of Samal has cleared the air in the minds of the people of the state after the hectic discussions being held in Delhi for the past fortnight with top central leaders.
The Odisha BJP President said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will go alone in Odisha and contest all 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have a double-engine government for an all-round development of Odisha.
Samal said the BJP government in other states has made significant progress in various fields due to the double-engine government.
The Odisha BJP, he said, also wants a similar double-engine government in the state for rapid development in the state.
Taking to his X handle, Samal said “many welfare schemes of the Modi government "were not reaching the ground in Odisha, due to which the poor sisters and brothers of Odisha are not getting their benefits."
He further said, "We have concerns on many issues related to Odisha identity, Odisha pride, and interest of the people of Odisha."
Samal however, thanked the BJD government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for cooperating and extending support to the Modi government on several issues of national importance over the last ten years.
