BJP will win Palakkad seat: C Krishnakumar

Palakkad, Mar 25 BJP-led NDA candidate C Krishnakumar, contesting from this Lok Sabha seat, has expressed confidence in the victory of the NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha election and reiterated his dedication to the development of the Palakkad constituency over the next five years.
Our booth-level workers, including local BJP and RSS activists, are focusing on door-to-door canvassing of votes and distributing brochures on development projects and various welfare programmes implemented by the Narendra Modi government for last 10 years, C. Krishnakumar, who is also the party's state general secretary, said.
"This time, the BJP will garner the support of the downtrodden and all sections of society because of the various welfare schemes implemented for the upliftment of poor sections by the BJP government at the centre."
"Our workers are concentrating on areas where the opposition UDF and LDF have an upper hand," he said.
Claiming that the NDA coalition has the potential to secure a significant number of Lok Sabha seats in Kerala, he said the BJP focuses on addressing the needs of the people and ensuring their voices are heard.
Stating that Palakkad is the only municipality where the BJP holds a clear majority in Kerala, he said the participation of people to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent massive roadshow gives a message that people want a political change in the state.
The candidature of Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai in the Coimbatore seat bordering Palakkad will influence voters positively, he added.
In 2019, Congress-led UDF candidate VK Sreekandan won the seat, defeating sitting CPM leader MB Rajesh by a margin of 11637 votes. This time also, VK Sreekandan is in the fray. CPM Politburo member A Vijayaraghavan, who is married to Kerala Higher Education Minister R Bindu, is contesting as an LDF candidate. C. Krishnakumar is running for Lok Sabha from Palakkad for the second time.
The voting for the Palakkad Lok Sabha Constituency will be held on April 26, 2024 (Phase 2).
