Former CM KCR condemns Kejriwal's arrest as assault on democracy

Hyderabad, Mar 22  BRS President and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) have denounced the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, labelling it as another dark day in the democratic history of the country.
Taking to Twitter (X), KCR stated, “The arrest of Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is yet another dark day in the country's democratic history."
Accusing the BJP of aiming to eradicate opposition voices, KCR highlighted incidents involving Hemant Soren and Kavita yesterday, alongside Kejriwal's arrest today, as evidence. He alleged that the Central government is manipulating investigative agencies like the ED, CBI, and IT for its political agenda.
BRS strongly condemned the Centre's actions, which KCR characterized as an assault on democracy. He asserted that Kejriwal's arrest is politically motivated and demanded the immediate withdrawal of illegal cases and the release of those detained.
