Former Odisha Minister and veteran BJD leader Damodar Rout has been admitted to a private hospital here in a critical condition.

Bhubaneswar, Mar 21  Former Odisha Minister and veteran BJD leader Damodar Rout has been admitted to a private hospital here in a critical condition.
Rout’s son Sambit Routray, BJD MLA from Paradip, on Thursday said his father suffered a massive cardiac arrest on the night of March 18last.
The seven time MLA who had served as ministers in as many as 14 departments during his four decades long political career, was first taken to Capital Hospital but later shifted to a Private hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Sambit said his father suffered extensive damage in the brain due to lack of oxygen supply.
Hospital sources said the condition of the veteran BJD leader is very critical.
