Four fishermen fear drowned in Dumboor Lake

Agartala, Mar 24  Four fishermen feared to have drowned in Dumboor, the biggest water tourism spot in Gomati district of Tripura.
Police said the mishap occurred amidst a heavy storm late on Saturday night.
Police said the rescue operation has been going on since early Sunday. As of now one body has been recovered and rescue operation is continuing.
According to police, at about 9:30 PM on Saturday, four fishermen identified as Hari Das (45), Pradip Das (46), Jyotish Mallik (50), and Sanjit Nandi (53),
all residents of M R Das Para under Dhalai district, ventured out to Dumboor Lake for fishing.
When the storm hit, the fishermen sought shelter in a tent positioned in the middle of the Lake. But due to strong winds, the tent submerged, leading to the presumed drowning of the four fishermen, police added.
