Get Modi elected as PM for development: Ajit Pawar

Pune, Apr 9  Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (AP) president Ajit Pawar on Tuesday exhorted all party workers to make concerted efforts to make Narendra Modi the prime minister again for development of the country.

Addressing the coordination meeting of Mahayuti organised in Maval Lok Sabha constituency, he said that this election is not about ideology but about development.

"The opposition is only talking about the constitutional amendments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Late Indira Gandhi amended the Constitution 28 times, whereas Modi has amended it six times," he said and pointed that the need is to understand amendments or changes made to the Constitution.

The NCP (AP) chief accused the opposition of raising unwanted issues that make no sense.

He advised party workers not to visit the opposition candidate during campaigning.

"Opposition candidate (Sanjog Waghere) might say that Ajitdada had asked me to contest the election, but it is nothing like that. Entire Maharashtra knows about me. Our candidate is Srirang Barne, press the button in front of the bow and arrow symbol, do not fall prey to any rumours," added Pawar.
