Mumbai, Feb 29 Piyush Pandey, chief advisor to Ogilvy, talked about how India itself is an idea and exhorted its youth to seek ideas from within rather than elsewhere.
Remembering transformation in Indian advertising world at ‘Ideas of India’ Summit 3.0., he said, “Many people changed from the 1980s, when they had no clue about the real India."
"India itself is an idea. Our youth is seeking ideas elsewhere, but we possess magic, and the world is looking at us. We have to enjoy, respect, and cultivate this idea in the next generation," added Pandey.
Ila Arun, actor, singer, and writer, talked about folk music and her famous song ‘Choli Ke Peeche’.
"I did not hesitate when it came to songs like 'Choli Ke Peeche' because they are deeply rooted in our folk culture. Such songs are common in our society," she said.
Prasoon Pandey said, “Bollywood is a very airbrushed, sanitised view of India. We were concentrating on what’s real in India."
