Jalandhar: 3 die, 2 injured after car collides with E-rickshaw
Three people died and two were injured when an Audi car collided with an e-rickshaw near Vidhipur railway crossing on Jalandhar-Amritsar highway on Tuesday night in the district.

collided with an e-rickshaw near Vidhipur railway crossing on Jalandhar-Amritsar highway
on Tuesday night in the district.
SHO Jatinder Singh said on Wednesday that the deceased have been identified as
Paramjit Singh Pamma, Jagdish Chander and Pankaj. Both the injured were taken to the
hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The driver of the Audi car fled the scene
and their identity is yet to be identified.
Police said the accident occurred when a speeding Audi car hit an e-rickshaw running
on the highway and collided with a divider. In this accident, the rickshaw was badly crushed,
due to which three people traveling on it died and two others were seriously injured. He said
that the families of the deceased and injured persons are also being traced.
An FIR has been registered against an unknown car driver at Maqsudan police station.
