Jarange-Patil, Pankaja Munde share dias at Narali Saptav in Beed

Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil and Beed Lok Sabha constituency candidate Pankaja Munde, daughter of late Gopinath Munde, came on same platform on occasion of Narali Saptav of Srikshetra Narayangad here on Sunday.

Ms Munde inquired about health of Jarange-Patil, who was not keeping well for some time due to his agitation.

For past few months, there was tension in the state due to Jarange-Patil's struggle for Maratha reservation ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

But, on the platform of Varkari Sampradaya today, public saw that barriers of caste have fallen down.

Jarange-Patil clarified that neither Ms Munde nor her cousin and state minister Dhananjay Munde ever opposed Maratha reservation.

Similarly, Ms Munde echoed that she never opposed the Maratha community's demand for reservation till date nor has she ever gone on any anti-reservation platform.

In backdrop of the Lok Sabha elections, a picture of tension between Maratha and OBCs was created on social media in a bid to stir up people's emotions, however, by coming together of these two leaders on the same platform has helped ease tension between the two communities.
