Maha: CM & Dy CM remember Punjabrao Deshmukh on his birth anniversary

Mumbai, Dec 27  Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday gratefully remembered and greeted the county's first agricultural minister, Punjabrao Deshmukh, on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary.
Chief Minister Shinde greeted Bhausaheb, alias Punjabrao Deshmukh, on his birth anniversary by offering floral tributes to his image.
While deputy chief minister Pawar paid floral tributes to his image in the courtyard near the entrance of the ministry.
On this occasion, Captain Ashish Damle, Pradeep Chavan, Under Secretary of the General Administration Department Ravindra Pethkar, Assistant Room Officer Shri. Bachhav, and Rane, Assistant Room Officer of the Public Works Department Vijay Shinde, also offered floral tributes.
Dr. Deshmukh laid the foundation of education in Maharashtra by starting agricultural, medical, and engineering colleges.
He devoted his life to formulating and implementing policies that brought about agricultural prosperity.
