There is a provision regarding the supply of flavored milk to the students of Government Ashram Schools coming under the Tribal Development Department as per the provisions of Government Decision Tribal Development Department , dated 30.12.2020 . Since the government ashram schools under the tribal development department are in remote areas, it is not possible to supply milk there daily, so it has been decided to supply flavored milk in tetrapacks.
While fixing the price of the said tender, the rates were obtained from the manufacturers (dairy) producing Tetrapak as well as Mahanand Dairy and other reputed manufacturers. Accordingly, the average of said rates is Rs. 27.70 per 200m . Lee. The rate was fixed as much as Tetrapak.

According to the said details, out of 5 tenderers , the rates of 4 tenderers are minimum as per Additional Commissioner and Maharashtra State Cooperative Milk Federation limits. Mumbai rates were higher. A single rate of Rs 26.25 per 200 mts was fixed as per all additional commissioners after negotiating with the minimum rate holders . Lee. Tetrapak was determined as such. On 12.01.2024 supply orders have been issued to all the four suppliers as per Additional Commissioner. According to this, Tetrapak milk is priced at Rs. 131.25 per liter. In this, all taxes and 497 ashramshalas in very remote areas are reached.
Mahanand Dairy also participated in the said tender. However Mahanand Dairy's rates were higher. Therefore, after further negotiation with the lowest rate holder, the said rate will be Rs. 26.25 have been fixed. Therefore, according to the price difference between Mahanand Dairy and the lowest rate holder Rs. The government has saved 33 crore rupees. Also, the said procurement process has been implemented following the guidelines prescribed in the Government Decision, Industry, Energy and Labor Department dated 01.12.2016 .
The flavored milk being distributed to the students of government ashram schools has been given the status of Homogenized & Pasteurized Milk Fat %-3.0 to 3.5 SNF %-8-5 Min Meeting FSSAI Standard of flavored milk . The milk in aromatic tetrapacks provided to the students by the department is ready to drink immediately after opening the packet and is nutritious. Tetrapak available in the market is in 1 liter and not in flavored milk and ready to drink form. However, the flavored milk of the specifications prescribed in the tender is immediately available and suitable for drinking by the students and the students drink the said milk with interest.
