United Nations, Dec 31, The United Nations reiterates its call for de-escalation and an end to attacks against civilians following a series of attacks in both Ukraine and Russia, UN Assistant Secretary-General Mohamed Khaled Khiari said during a UN Security Council meeting.
"We reiterate the Secretary-General's appeals for the de-escalation of tensions and for an end to attacks on civilians, population centres, residential areas, civilian infrastructure, and energy infrastructure," Khiari said on Saturday. "We unequivocally condemn all attacks on cities, towns, and villages in Ukraine and in the Russian Federation."
