Vishwa Hindu Parishad starts campaign for 100 per cent voting target

Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Himachal Pradesh has started campaign for voting in national interest and achieving 100 per cent voting target as part of its active participation and responsibility in great festival of democracy, elections.

Under the campaign, Himachal Pradesh has been divided into 123 blocks. The training of thousands of workers in these blocks is in final stages.

These workers have been targeted to hold more than 12,000 meetings, big and small, in the entire province.

VHP state president, Lekhraj Rana, said on Monday that VHP has been fulfilling its responsibility in religious and social fields for a long time.

At the time of elections, when every citizen of this country is ready to exercise the right given to him by the Constitution, all the workers of the Parishad in Himachal will also cooperate in this.

Earlier, he chaired a meeting of the state unit of the Parishad.

He said that in this awareness campaign, thousands of workers of the organisation will go to the booth-level and not only make the people aware to vote but will also make them aware that voting is in the interest of the nation.

He said that issues of national security will be priority of this campaign.

He said that since VHP represents Hindus all over the world, it will inspire people by making them aware of the norms and symbols of faith.
