1.30 kg of crystal meth seize in Aizawl
Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department officials recovered 1.30 kilograms of crystal meth and 1.66 lakh tablets of methamphetamine (16.105 kg) from Bawngkawn neighborhood in the state capital Aizawl on Saturday night.

Department spokesperson Zohmingthanga said on Sunday that Hrangtinkhara, 49, aka Robert aka Duhzuala, a resident of Tahan Pinlung, Kalemyo District, Myanmar, was arrested for allegedly possessing and trafficking the contraband.
Zohmingthanga said that Hrangtinkhara told his interrogators that the contraband, smuggled from Myanmar, was meant to be sold outside Mizoram.
The accused was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and produced before a special judge (ND and PS), who remanded him to judicial custody and sent him to jail.
According to state police officials, one kg of crystal meth could fetch Rs 3 crore per kilo, while the rate of methamphetamine is Rs 13 lakh per kilo in the international market.
