Chennai Space Start-up's first rocket launch tomorrow postponed due to technical issue

The launch of Chennai-based Space Start-up Agnikul Cosmos' first rocket Agnibaan Sub Orbital Technology Demonstrator (SOrTeD) from the SHAR Range, Sriharikota, scheduled for Friday morning, was postponed due to a technical issue.

Chennai Space Start-up's first rocket launch tomorrow postponed due to technical issue

Chennai, Mar 21  The launch of Chennai-based Space Start-up Agnikul Cosmos'
first rocket Agnibaan Sub Orbital Technology Demonstrator (SOrTeD) from the SHAR
Range, Sriharikota, scheduled for Friday morning, was postponed due to a technical
issue.
Agnikul Cosmos on Thursday evening announced that the launch was put on hold and
fresh dates would be announced later.
It said "Holding our launch out of an abundance of caution based on certain minor
observations from the full countdown rehearsals last night."
"Wlil keep you all posted on the new date and time. Thanks a lot for all the support that
has been pouring in", it said.
An official statement from PIB, which has been handling all media registration for all
ISRO missions, including for this mission, announced that "the launch of ‘AGNIBAAN
SOrTeD’ Mission, scheduled at 0700 hrs on March 22, 2024, has been postponed due
to technical issue. The launch date will be announced later".
The launch has been scheduled from Agnikul's own launch pad constructed at the Satish
Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota, at 0700 hrs tomorrow
This is India's first launch from a private launch pad located at ISRO's spaceport, but has
to be deferred due to technical issue.
The Agnibaan SOrTeD is India's first semi-cryogenic engine powered rocket launch and
World’s first single piece 3D printed engine designed and built indigenously.
