The BSE Sensex on Monday recovered 288.12 points at 74165.27 in the opening session on the strength of Realty, Technology, and FMCG stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 39.75 points to 22,515.
The NSE registered days high and low at 22,588.80 and 22,433.30 points, respectively.
The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 74,359.69 and 73,973.79 points, respectively.
The midcap fell by 1.01 pc and the small cap by 0.82 pc.
In 30 scrips, 23 advanced while 7 declined.
The gainers were Kotak Bank by 5.14 percent to Rs 1626.80, TCS by 2.14 percent to Rs 3921.50, IndusInd Bank by 1.49 percent to Rs 1294.80 and Infosys by 1.49 percent to Rs 1437.60.
The losers were Titan by 6.94 pc to Rs 3290, SBI by 3.16 pc to 805.30, NTPC by 2.05 pc to Rs 357.60 and Powergrid by 1.75 pc to Rs 305.25.
