CM son Srikant Shinde and Naresh Mhaske to contest election from Kalyan & Thane

Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde Group) on Wednesday announced candidates for Thane and Kalyan- Dombiwali Lok Sabha constituencies for the Lok Sabha election to be held on May 20.

According to party secretary Sanjay More, who announced the first two names, CM Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Shinde from Kalyan Lok Sabha seat and Naresh Mhaske from Thane have been nominated. 

Mhaske is to known to be close to CM Shinde.

The situation regarding seat sharing between BJP and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) for Mumbai city became clear. Both parties will contest three seats each in the city. 

Thane is considered CM Shinde's stronghold. He represents the Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly constituency in Thane. 

The party has not yet announced candidates for the Nashik and Palghar Lok Sabha seats.
