ED issues notice to Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Amol Kirtikar

Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, Mar 27 Soon after Shiv Sena (UBT) announced candidature of Amol Kirtikar from North-West Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a notice to him in connection with alleged 'Khichadi' scam of BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Within hours after this announcement, ED issued notice to Amol Kirtikar in connection with alleged 'Khichadi' scam.

While, a team of ED officers has reached his residence at his Shirde village in Dapoli tehsil of Ratnagiri district this afternoon for investigation.

Notably, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has filed a complaint, alleging that there was a scam in distribution of 'Khichadi' to migrants during nationwide lockdown due to corona pandemic.

In preliminary investigation, the Mumbai police has disclosed scam worth more than Rs six crore.

Amol Kirtikar is the son of former Shiv Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar, who is now with BJP.
