Public has brought B JP to the brink of defeat: Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav said that the public has brought Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the brink of defeat in the first three phases of Lok Sabha elections which will be ensured in the next two phases.

Addressing a public meeting in favour of SP candidates at Bal Ghar ground in Bahraich city, Akhilesh said the public has left BJP far behind in the first, second, and third phases of voting. "You people should work to stop their plans by voting in the fourth and fifth phase of voting," he said.

He said that the BJP is the most lying party. "It claims to be the largest party in the world but is far behind in the name of development. BJP promised to double the income of farmers in the double engine government, but handed over the earnings of farmers to the middlemen," he alleged.

The SP chief said the central government has started the Agni Veer Yojana for 4 years, due to which there is resentment among the youth. "If a coalition government is formed, we will scrap the Agniveer scheme along with providing 30 lakh government jobs," he said.

He said that today everything is being sold. "Trains have been sold, Airports have been sold, if the BJP government remains in power then all jobs will become private. This government wants to change the Constitution, but we will remove the government," he said.

Akhilesh said that the public has exposed the lies of the BJP and foiled its plans in the first three phases of elections.
